40. Sale!

Seen that there is quite some hosanna going on in financials, I think this to be a nice moment to get rid of some shares that have delivered a small plus. Currently I’m putting following shares out for sale.

Keryx was indeed bought for quick money: the news gave away that a shortage of supply was anticipated leaving the share to drop. I expected prices to go up again, and apparently the election of Mr. Trump worked as a catalyst to strengthen a.o. the pharmaceuticals industry. Surprise.

ArcelorMittal was on the list for getting sold already for quite some time but, till date I keep working to the only one rule of:

“Don’t sell red!”

So that’s why I kept hold of them for about 4 years, with hardly any dividends paid.

Same goes for Halliburton, I believe that the oil crisis can not go on forever and companies like HAL will continue to improve and optimize production processes. Hence: they continue being worth their money. For now the company first has to recover from some major reorganisations but talking share value, they’re not doing too bad.

Liberty Global was bought because of a slight hint of an upward trend commencing Mid-2016. At this moment, I estimate the share can reach a 40.00 limit.  However, this is probably not going to happen within the given timeframe. But hey, last weeks have proven that stranger things can happen.

At the moment of writing the total performance of these shares is:

Resulting in a gain of about 371 USD if the sales would all be closed today and I’m already quite happy with that. That kind of money is very welcome in the most expensive wonderful time of the year. Come to think of it, I’m going to buy some Leonard Cohen best-of cd’s!
